CDEX Brand Protection and anti-counterfeiting
solutions use the same base technological platforms as our ValiMed
product line for in-the-field validation for a potentially wide
variety of consumer and industrial products. Authenticity is validated based on
a near real time comparison of a target substances’ chemical
signature against the chemical signature of the authentic product
as stored in the CDEX database.
The first of our brand protection product line is the Counterfeit Spirits Detection Unit (CSDU), used to authenticate distilled spirits, where counterfeiting and dilution adversely impact the taste, manufacturer’s revenue, and tax revenue collected by local, regional or national taxing authorities.
