“Meth Scanner™” or Illicit Drug Detector “ID2”
CDEX INC introduces the ID2 Meth Scanner. Methamphetamine is one of the most used illicit drugs in America. It is said that one in every thirteen teens have admitted to using this drug. We are working with our nation’s law enforcement agencies in the development of an efficient and cost effective means to detect methamphetamine in the field. Our “Meth ScannerTM” provides a non-destructive real-time test for the presence of methamphetamine and requires no human contact with this hazardous substance. In addition to law enforcement use, we are currently working with leaders in the industries of real estate, educational institutions, industrial settings as well as homeland security.
This is an early design concept for the production model of the Meth ScannerTM. We are on track to begin production by the end of 2007.
Based on the feedback from our initial beta testing, the current 2nd round beta Meth ScannerTM features constant scan capability, distance to target information and, most importantly, marked improvement in sensitivity to detect methamphetamine.
Our 1st round beta Meth ScannerTM increased initial detection distance over the prototype version and provided the user with a digital display.
Our initial prototype methamphetamine detection "gun" demonstrates the ability to scan for meth on various surfaces. This early model indicates the presence of meth by means of a simple green-light/red-light interface.
